Ultimate Egypt Experience: 9 Days of Wonders – Cairo, Nile Cruise, and Abu Simbel

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met and assisted by a Blue Rays Tours representative who will help with passport control and luggage. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Cairo by a private air-conditioned vehicle for check-in and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Pyramids Tour
After breakfast, a Blue Rays Tours guide will escort you to the Giza Plateau to see the impressive pyramids of Kings Cheops, Chephren, and Menkaure, guarded by the rock-cut statue of the Sphinx. Visit the Valley Temple of King Chephren near the Sphinx. Then, visit the Saqqara Complex and the step pyramid of King Zoser, the first pyramid in Egypt. Head to Memphis, one of the ancient Egyptian capitals, to see the alabaster Sphinx and the colossal statue of Ramses II.
Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Luxor – East Bank Tour – Embarkation
In the morning, transfer from your hotel to Cairo Airport for a flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, meet your Blue Rays Tours guide and visit the enormous Karnak Temple complex, featuring the Temple of Amun and the Avenue of the Sphinxes. Then visit the Luxor Temple. Board your luxury Nile Cruise ship in time for lunch and stay overnight.

Day 4: West Bank Tour – Nile Cruise – Edfu
Discover the Valley of the Kings in the Theban Hills west of the Nile, where tombs were built for powerful kings of the New Kingdom. Admire Queen Hatshepsut’s impressive temple at Deir el-Bahri and view the Colossi of Memnon carved from quartzite sandstone. Later, sail to Edfu.

Day 5: Edfu – Kom Ombo Temples
Visit Egypt’s best-preserved cult temple at Edfu, dedicated to the Falcon god Horus. Relax and admire the scenery as you sail upstream to Kom Ombo. Tour the temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the crocodile-headed god Sobek. In the evening, enjoy an Egyptian dinner and Galabeya party on board. Sail to Aswan.

Day 6: Aswan – Abu Simbel Tour (Optional)
Take a breakfast box from the cruise and start your trip to Abu Simbel Temples, about a 3.5-hour drive from Aswan. Enjoy the remarkable temples of Abu Simbel, the Sun Temple of Ramses II, and the Temple of Queen Nefertari. In the afternoon, return to Aswan and enjoy a Felucca ride to see the Botanical Garden and Agha Khan Mausoleum.

Day 7: Aswan Tour – Fly Back to Cairo
Disembark in Aswan and explore the Temple of Isis on the island of Philae and see the unfinished Obelisk. After the tour, fly back to Cairo and check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 8: Cairo City Tour
After breakfast, visit the Egyptian Museum to see Tutankhamun’s treasures. Explore Old Cairo, including the Hanging Church and the Jewish Synagogue of Ben Ezra. End the day at Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Return to your hotel for the night.

Day 9: Final Departure
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Cairo Airport for your departure flight home.
