Description
Day 1: Arrival in Cairo
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, a Blue Rays Tours representative will assist you with passport control and luggage. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Cairo by a private air-conditioned vehicle for check-in and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Cairo Sightseeing
At 9:00 am, marvel at the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, and see the enigmatic Great Sphinx, the oldest monumental sculpture in the world. Explore the Egyptian Museum to view Tutankhamun’s priceless treasures discovered by Howard Carter in 1922.

Day 3: Coptic Cairo Tour
After breakfast, your Blue Rays Tours guide will escort you to Coptic Cairo. Visit the Hanging Church, dating back to the 3rd century AD and dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Explore Saint Sergius and Bacchus Church, believed to be built on the spot where the Holy Family rested at the end of their journey into Egypt. Visit the Jewish Synagogue of Ben Ezra, known for its Geniza, a storeroom containing a treasure of Hebrew manuscripts. Tour Garbage City and the Cave Church (Monastery of St. Simon the Tanner), the largest in the Middle East and Egypt.
End the day with some relaxing time at Al Azhar Park.

Day 4: Giza Desert Excursion
In the morning, meet your Blue Rays Tours guide and transfer to Sakkara, Egypt’s largest ancient burial ground. Visit the ancient step pyramid of King Djoser, the world’s oldest major stone structure. Move on to Memphis, Egypt’s former capital, and Dahshur, home to the Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramid built by Pharaoh Snefru. Optional: Evening Sound & Light show at the Pyramids.

Day 5: Cairo Islamic Tour
After breakfast, visit the Citadel of Saladin Al Ayouby, built in the 12th century to fortify Cairo. Inside, see the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammad Ali Pasha. Continue to the Sultan Hassan Mosque and Madrasa, an extraordinary monument of the Islamic world. Next, visit Al Rifai Mosque, the mausoleum of the royal family, and the Mosque of Ahmed Ibn Tulun, the oldest and largest mosque in Egypt. Explore the City of the Dead, an Islamic necropolis, and end the day at Khan Al Khalili Bazaar, a vibrant market and one of Cairo’s main attractions.

Day 6: Final Departure
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Cairo Airport for your departure flight home.
