7-Day Tour of Cairo, Alexandria, and Luxor

Description

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be greeted by a Blue Rays Tours representative who will assist you with passport control and luggage. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Cairo via a private air-conditioned vehicle for check-in and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Pyramids, Saqqara, and Memphis
At 8:00 am, your Blue Rays Tours guide will take you to visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus, as well as the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. Optional: Enjoy a camel ride around the pyramids. Then, visit the step pyramid of Djoser in Saqqara and learn about the evolution of pyramid design. Continue to Memphis, the ancient capital and cultural center of Egypt, dedicated to the god Ptah.
Optional: Attend the sound and light show in the evening.
Return to your hotel in Cairo for the night.

Day 3: Fly to Luxor – East Bank
Check out of your hotel in the morning and fly to Luxor. Upon arrival, meet your Blue Rays Tours guide and visit the East Bank, including the Karnak Temples and Luxor Temple. Check in to your hotel in Luxor for an overnight stay.

Day 4: West Bank – Fly to Cairo
After breakfast, check out and visit the West Bank of Luxor, including the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. Fly back to Cairo in the evening and check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Cairo City Tour
At 8:30 am, visit the Egyptian Museum, home to ancient Egyptian treasures including those of King Tutankhamun. Then, explore Old Cairo, including the Hanging Church, Saint Sergius and Bacchus Church, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. Finish the day with a visit to the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Return to your hotel in Cairo for the night.

Day 6: Alexandria Excursion
Early in the morning, travel to Alexandria with your Blue Rays Tours guide. Visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, Pompey’s Pillar, and the Library of Alexandria. Enjoy the Montazah Royal Palaces and Gardens and see Stanley Bridge. Stop for photos at Qaitbay Fort before returning to Cairo for an overnight stay.

Day 7: Departure
Check out from your hotel after breakfast and transfer to Cairo Airport for your departure flight home.
