6-Day Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan Overland Adventure

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, a Blue Rays Tours representative will assist you with passport control and luggage. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Cairo by a private air-conditioned vehicle for check-in and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Giza Pyramids, Egyptian Museum, and Khan El Khalili Bazaar
At 8:00 am, marvel at the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, and see the enigmatic Great Sphinx, the oldest monumental sculpture in the world. Explore the Egyptian Museum to view Tutankhamun’s priceless treasures discovered by Howard Carter in 1922. Continue to Islamic Cairo for a walking tour of the 1,000-year-old El Moez Street, an open-air museum of Islamic architecture. End the day at Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of Cairo’s main attractions.
Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 3: Fly to Luxor – East & West Bank Tour
In the morning, check out and transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, meet your Blue Rays Tours guide and visit the West Bank, including the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut Temple. See the Colossi of Memnon, then cross the Nile to the East Bank to visit Luxor Temple and Karnak Temples, dedicated to the god Amon-Ra. Check in to your hotel in Luxor and stay overnight.

Day 4: Travel to Aswan – Aswan Sightseeing Tour
After breakfast, check out and travel to Aswan by a modern air-conditioned private vehicle (approximately 3.5 hours). Upon arrival, visit the High Dam, Philae Temple, and the Unfinished Obelisk. Check in to your hotel in Aswan and stay overnight.

Day 5: Abu Simbel Sightseeing Tour – Felucca Ride in Aswan – Fly to Cairo
Check out and take a breakfast box with you for the trip to Abu Simbel Temples (approximately 3.5 hours each way by private air-conditioned vehicle). Upon arrival, explore the remarkable temples of Abu Simbel, the largest rock-cut temples in the world. Return to Aswan and enjoy a traditional Felucca ride across the Nile to see the botanical gardens on Kitchener’s Island. After the ride, transfer to Aswan Airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Cairo for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Departure
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Cairo Airport for your departure flight home.
