3-Day, 2-Night Adventure to the White Desert & Bahariya Oasis

Day 1: Cairo – Bahariya Oasis
In the morning, after breakfast, a Blue Rays Tours guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo. You’ll embark on a 360km (approximately 4-hour) drive to Bahariya Oasis, with stops along the way for restrooms and coffee. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before transferring to your 4×4 Land Cruiser to explore the Black Desert, characterized by volcanic mountains and scattered black stones on orange and brown sands. Visit El Hez village to see the cold spring, then drive to Crystal Mountain to admire its glittering calcite crystal walls. Conclude the day with a visit to the Valley of Agabat, known for its unique limestone and chalk rock formations.

Overnight: Camp

Day 2: Magic Spring and White Desert
After breakfast, visit the Magic Spring (Ain al-Serw), a palm-shaded oasis with three small pools perfect for cooling off in the desert. Relax and enjoy lunch at the Magic Spring. Next, explore the White Desert National Park, famous for its stunning wind-carved rock formations that resemble spires, mushrooms, animals, and other bizarre shapes. Enjoy a BBQ dinner, drink tea by the fire, and spend the night under the stars.

Day 3: White Desert – Return to Cairo
Rise early to witness a spectacular sunrise, then enjoy breakfast. Spend some time exploring the surreal shapes of the wind-eroded chalk monoliths before driving back to Bahariya Oasis and then returning to Cairo.
