6-Day Tour of Cairo, Abu Simbel, Aswan, and Luxor

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo
Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, an Blue Rays Tours representative will assist you with passport control and luggage. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Cairo by a private air-conditioned vehicle for check-in and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Cairo City Tour and Flight to Aswan
After breakfast, your Blue Rays Tours guide will take you to visit the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. You’ll also see the mysterious Great Sphinx, the world’s oldest monumental sculpture. Next, you’ll explore the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, where you can view the treasures of King Tutankhamen, including his famous death mask. After the tour, you will be transferred to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, a representative will escort you to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Abu Simbel Excursion
Around 5:00 AM, you will depart with your guide for Abu Simbel, a three-hour drive from Aswan. We recommend requesting a breakfast box from your hotel, as there are no restaurants on the way. At Abu Simbel, you will visit the renowned temples of King Ramses II and Queen Nefertari, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Nubian Monuments. The temples are uniquely carved into solid rock and positioned to align with the sun on specific dates. After returning to Aswan in the afternoon, you will enjoy a felucca ride around Aswan’s islands, including Kitchener’s Botanical Garden and Elephantine Island. You will then return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Aswan Tour and Train to Luxor
After breakfast and checking out of your hotel, your Blue Rays Tours guide will take you to visit the Temple of Isis at Philae, constructed during the Ptolemaic period and completed by Roman emperors. You’ll also visit Aswan’s High Dam, a modern marvel providing water and electricity to Egypt. Afterwards, you’ll be transferred to Aswan Railway Station to catch your train to Luxor. Upon arrival in Luxor, you will be taken to your hotel for check-in and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Luxor Tour and Flight Back to Cairo
Following breakfast, your guide will take you to the West Bank of the Nile to visit the Valley of the Kings, where you can see the well-preserved tombs of New Kingdom pharaohs, including Ramses II and Tutankhamen. You’ll then visit the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, renowned for its architectural grandeur, and the Colossi of Memnon, massive statues of Amenhotep III. After lunch, you’ll explore Karnak Temple on the East Bank, one of the largest ancient religious sites in the world. Following your tour, you will be transferred to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will be taken to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Final Departure
After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel and be transferred to Cairo Airport for your departure flight, concluding your Egyptian journey. Safe travels!
